James joined the team in July 2018 and is taking up a significant role in our town. He is looking at how to develop Restore Stars, disciple our young people into leaders and develop work in schools and colleges.
James is from Warrington and trained at Bristol Baptist College. “I’m passionate about working with children and young people and helping them to discover God’s love for them. Family is hugely important to me, and in my spare time I love Rugby League and climbing mountains.”
I was born in Filey. When I was younger I lived in London where I trained to become a Salvation Army officer and was appointed to serve in the Eastern Counties. I moved from Norwich to York in the late 80’s when I met my wonderful husband Robert. We have a son called David who lives in Cornwall and two lovely grandsons, Thomas and Noah.
We returned to Filey in 2006 and became involved in the local Church of England. In 2017 we started to attend Ebenezer, later becoming members. Like Robert, I have a love of God’s word and he supports me in my leading of a small bible study in our home and an informal monthly study in a local cafe.
I am excited at what God is doing in Filey and it’s a joy to be involved with Tim, Ali and all those in our Missional Community.
Hi, I’m Heather, I’m married to Paul and we have three grown up children, two granddaughters and a grandson on the way! I love Jesus and I love my Restore family, sharing life together, with Jesus at the centre!
James was born in Hampshire but moved to North Yorkshire for University in 2011. He grew up as an electric guitarist within the church where he developed a strong passion for God and leadership through music. James is a software developer by trade and worked in the midlands before him and his fiancée Alice felt God calling them to Filey. James is excited to see Restore Filey grow as a community and to share his worship with others along the journey.
